THE LEGAL STUFF....
The Franchise Disclosure Document
The Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) is a vital legal document providing prospective Cocktail Queen franchisees with comprehensive information about our company, franchise system, and the terms of the franchise agreement. This document details our history, financial performance, management team, your obligations as a franchisee, associated fees, and estimated start-up costs. Our goal is complete transparency, empowering you to make a well-informed decision. For any territory you're interested in, the corresponding FDD is readily accessible via a dedicated link on the territory's information page, upon reservation of the territory.
THE LEGAL STUFF....
The Franchise Code of Conduct
The Franchising Code of Conduct is a mandatory code of conduct that regulates the conduct of franchising participants towards one another in Australia. It sits under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010.
The Code aims to:
-
Require franchisors to disclose certain information to prospective and existing franchisees before, and after, entering into a franchise agreement.
-
Stipulate a number of conditions relating to the rights of a franchisor and a franchisee under a franchise agreement.
-
Provide mechanisms for franchisees and franchisors to try to resolve disputes.
Prospective Cocktail Queen franchisees are provided with a copy of the Franchise Code of Conduct when they access the disclosure document upon selecting their territory. This ensures all potential franchisees are well-informed of their rights and obligations before committing to a franchise agreement. We believe in transparency and want to empower you with the necessary information to make an informed decision.

THE LEGAL STUFF....
The Franchise Agreement
Ready to take the first step towards owning your own Cocktail Queen franchise? We believe in transparency and empowering our potential franchisees with the information they need to make an informed decision. That's why, when you reserve your desired territory online, you'll immediately gain access to our comprehensive franchise agreement. To secure your chosen location, a fully refundable $350 deposit is required. This reservation ensures that no one else can claim your territory while you conduct your due diligence.
We understand that becoming a franchisee is a significant commitment. A franchise agreement is a legally binding contract between the franchisor and the franchisee. It outlines the terms and conditions of the franchise relationship, including the rights and obligations of both parties. Therefore, we provide a minimum two-week review period for you to thoroughly examine the franchise agreement. This allows you ample time to consult with legal and financial professionals, research the market, and ensure that a Cocktail Queen franchise aligns perfectly with your goals. After the two-week due diligence period has passed, and you're ready to move forward, the next step is simply paying the contract fee. We're here to support you throughout the process and answer any questions you may have.
Once you've decided to join the Cocktail Queen family, a $550 contract fee covers the creation of your official franchise agreement. This fee ensures the accurate incorporation of your business details into the legal document. Following your online application and contract fee payment, please allow approximately 72 hours for the agreement to be drafted. Upon receiving the final contract, you have seven days to sign and pay both the franchise fee and the security deposit. Importantly, the $350 web administration fee is waived, as it's already covered by your initial territory holding deposit.
So, you've got the legal side covered – fantastic! But running a successful Cocktail Queen franchise is about more than just understanding the paperwork. Now it's time to get into the fun stuff!
